How to Make PF Chang’s Mongolian-Style Beef:

Marinate the beef:

Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl, whisk well, and pour them into a zip-lock bag with the beef strips. Seal and chill for at least 1 hour or overnight. Drain the marinade and set the beef aside.

Prepare the sauce:

In a medium saucepan, whisk sesame oil, ground ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Cook over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves.
In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and stir in the cornstarch mixture. Let it thicken slightly, then remove from heat.

Cook the beef:

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook for 5–8 minutes, flipping as needed until fully cooked. Reduce heat to medium.

Combine with sauce:

Pour in ½–1 cup of the prepared sauce, depending on how saucy you want the dish. Stir and cook for 1–2 more minutes so the beef absorbs the flavors.

Finish and serve:

Serve the beef over steamed rice, topped with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if you like. Enjoy a sweet-savory, PF-Chang’s-style beef dish that’s packed with flavor.
